All Are One
Not on the demo yet. Its torch on the Path of Ascent lights when the song is finished.
I am one with all
Thy are one with I
My will is thy will
Ego takes its rise
A brain like a sponge
Trapped in the cosmic web
Critical thought unwired
As the spider is fed
A doctor sharing the truth
Not of the divine, but of what has proof
He saved me from my insanity
A search for answers finds a chemical shortcut, and with it a vast, emotionally convincing explanation of everything.
A doctrine of dissolving the ego becomes a throne for it: my will is thy will, and ego takes its rise. The cosmic web turns out to be a spider’s web.
With critical thought unwired, rescue has to come from outside: a doctor sharing a truth that is not of the divine, but of what has proof.
A certainty that feels transcendent can be the trap itself. The cosmic images in the song are the delusion, not the answer. What saves the narrator is evidence.
