The Reflecting Pool
One symbol, many songs
The album repeats its images on purpose, and their meaning moves. Pick a symbol to watch it travel. Lines are quoted from the songs themselves, and each song name opens its page.
The flame
Drive, will, intensity. Never simply good: the question is where the heat lands.
Unfrozen"The fire inside grew so deep in my eyes / The ashes remain which left me dead, as ice"
Unchoke Unblind"I can’t quell the fire inside / I can prevent the burn outside"
Echoes of Our Scream"Cold like the mountains tops / and firey like lava inside it"
Fathers of Hubris"If I feel my furnace burning, I cleanse my state"
Lines come from the current corpus and stay subject to Berg’s final texts.
