Echoes of Our Scream
the mountain sways
as the cracks form
sucking us in
the beast lies with its mundane voice
the silence of our future
exits through the void
The echoes of our scream
shattered our reality
Cold like the mountains tops
and firey like lava inside it
The only thing we can do, is move forward
Everyone makes mistakes
And this life we cannot replace
The mountains rush on and on
and can stand firm once again
Two people stand high on the mountain they built together, and it starts to sway. The cracks open, and the future they could picture simply leaves.
The rupture ends; its echo doesn’t. The threat never needed to sound supernatural: the beast speaks in a mundane voice, and what remains is cold outside with lava underneath.
"The only thing we can do, is move forward." No reset, and no claim that it all happened for a reason.
Everyone makes mistakes, and this life can’t be swapped for another, so the rebuilding has to happen inside the same one. The mountain can stand firm again without becoming a different mountain.
- UnfrozenFire and ice in one body again, and a search for warmth that lasts.
- Freedom in MindAnother future that goes silent, and a climb that continues anyway.
